problem with external monitor

hello,

I have a projector hooked up to a laptop, set up as extended desktop, and want to use it to project (duh!...) from qlab, I've set it up correctly (or so I think...) but the image comes on the laptop screen instead of the projector, UNLESS... I open the monitor little window and place it on the projector screen. I tried with an external monitor also, with the same result. I've also tried in qlab4, also the same behavior.

II think the lack of responses might be due to the fact t’s a bit difficult to understand what the problem is from your post. One interpretation might be…

UNLESS I set QLab up correctly in the io tab of the inspector of my video cue,  the stage editor, and the video output tab, it doesn’t work.  If I do set it up correctly,  it works.

As you have it working, what is it you think is wrong?

hi Mic,

close... I mean I am setting the screens correctly in both qlab 4 and 5, but UNLESS I open the video monitoring window and place it on the screen I set up, image will go on the other screen (in my case the laptop screen). Better now? And btw, I didn't have this problem before with a similar setup, and I also tried on another computer, with the same result (place the video monitor window on the desired screen to make it work)

Hi Alex

This is not intended behavior and we haven’t had other reports like this, so I think something is incorrect with your basic configuration.

Would you please contact sup...@figure53.com with those same screen shots and a step-by-step explanation of how you set up a video stage? I’m sure we can figure this out neatly.

"Displays have different spaces" should be OFF in System Preferences > Mission Control

That solved it for me
