Before I fill out a feature request ticket I thought I'd vent this to the
list & see what boils to the top.
During rehearsals, many times I am asked to PAUSE but I'm never asked to
continue forward. Instead they always want to back up a bit & start again.
Qlab Translation=stop, load to time, go. Depending on where you are in a
cue list, getting to the actual audio cue can take some hunting...
My current operator is a video geek & he kept on staring at the JOG wheel
on my JLC MSC2 midi & asking why he can't use it to RR & FF in QLab.
He also said that in order to use Qlab for his video purposes, the JOG
function would be necessary. He seems very impressed with Qlab & even
said, "I can see Qlab being handy for a lot of the work I do." This is
without even using it for video. Only seeing how the audio part works.
So I'd like to at least plant the seed for a future version that can be
JOGGED, both audio & video.
Also as Paul mentions below, for us "Glorified CD player for Dance" type
users, being able to back up via remote would be nice.
While in PAUSE ALL, a 15 sec RR button would be very handy. Press it twice
& you get 30 secs of RR. 3 x = 45 sec RR, etc...
Then GO.
In the meantime, I am very grateful to know I can PAUSE ALL & then move
around in the timeline!!!
Best Regards,
*
