Hey, folks!

We are a small touring group, and for years, we've run our QLab cues from stage using QLab Remote. It's been wonderful.

Unfortunately, we started rehearsals for shows next week, and the Remote isn't finding the QLab workspace. As you can see, it detects a MacBook with QLab running, but doesn't see any workspaces.

Direct Connection doesn't work either.

We are using a dedicated router, although I tried other routers to no avail.
We have QLab 4.7, and the paid version of QLab Remote.
The MacBook is running MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1 (24D70).
The iPhones I tested are a 13 mini, X, and 6s. All have their iOS updated.

I double-checked the QLab OSC settings and the System Settings on the MacBook and iPhones.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I can get Remote and QLab connecting again? Everything was working fine in October 2024. We have performances next week, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Since your MacBook is running on Sequoia, my first guess would be to check that QLab has local network permission enabled in the macOS Settings app under Privacy & Security > Local Network.

This permission has been buggy in the releases of Sequoia so far, so even if it is enabled for QLab, please toggle it off and on again.

If that doesn't work, please reach out to us at sup...@figure53.com and we can help you troubleshoot further.

Thank you, Brent.

I tried toggling to no avail, so I'll reach out to support. I'm curious if Sequoia my issue here? Do I need to revert to an older MacOS?

Sorry to hear that didn't work out.

In that case, you'll need a Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or earlier to keep using QLab 4.7, since macOS 15 Sequoia is not supported for QLab 4.

An upgrade to QLab 5 is the other option, which comes with all sorts of improvements -- in addition to v5 being compatible with Sequoia.
