'virtual'/software sound card or audio router for working with Qlab?

Does anyone have a good option for working on a Qlab project that has multiple outputs, when you are just using the onboard sound output.

It'd be great to be able to have a virtual 18 channel sound card where all the outputs can be diverted just to output 1&2 for listening when working on a train or bus.

At the moment I have a GSI Gigaport which is very small and will allow me to listen to the mix of all 8 channels but I don't have a good options for working on larger projects.

Any ideas?

This is one of the most useful features of QLab: program a show on multiple outputs but fold it down to stereo in the patch editor when offline. I thought there was a Cookbook article about it too, but I can’t find it. A good thing to do is setup your fold-down so that, for example, channels that are mono in the theatre are panned to both sides of your headphones and relative levels of the channels match between the theatre and your headphones. You can even put an LPF plug-in across channels that feed subs or insert reverb to simulate the sound in the real space…
