I just installed a Soundcraft Ui24r mixer and am having a really hard time figuring out how to get the patch right when connecting via USB cable and patching from the USB-DAW interface within the Soundcraft UI. I've watched as many Soundcraft USB-DAW setup videos as my brain can handle but it still isn't clear. I'm running the latest version of QLab on an iMac.

I work with this setup pretty regularly.  What are you trying to do?  Just get playback out of Qlab through the Ui24r?

I actually got it working. I called support and the guy walked me right through it. Thanks for responding, though. I may hit you up with more questions as we use it more. As a side question... why did you get the Ui24r?

I got the Ui24r for our theatre for several reasons:

1). I won’t buy Behringer.

2). At the time we could not afford the jump to Allen & Heath for our secondary mixer.

3). The HTML 5 browser interface is a good feature - no proprietary apps to wrestle with and other people can make their own add ons.  I use the Ui MIDI app now and then for fader control.

4). The processing sounds pretty good to my ear: EQ, comp, verb, etc.

5). Enough pro features but also easy enough for any of our volunteers to use.  A nice median on that spectrum.

It's not our primary indoor mixer: we have an SQ6 for that, which I love.  But for smaller, and off-site gigs in other spaces, it meets the needs.

How’s that?

Cheers,
