QLab 5.5.7 is now available

Hi All,

We’ve just released QLab 5.5.7, which includes a few important bug fixes.

In particular, it fixes a rare but significant condition in which 5.5 could lose connection to video outputs.

Hi all,

Apologies for Vague-posting (will follow up with more detail), but I thought better flag caution on this one - for me, it broke my path to the projector (current Epson laser, model to follow), as in - from OS side, it reported ok, in QLab (restarted/rebooted), I could get no content (neither grid, route marks, or cue content) on, while on the OS side, I could slide windows across and it worked.

Same show file, no other changes, worked before and after in 5.5.6, broke in 5.5.7 (had to revert quickly for an important rehearsal).

When I am back in a bit more than 24hrs,  I'll report with all other details (Make/Model of PJ, Generation of MacBook Pro and installed OS) to assist with troubleshooting - but of course I hope and trust this is more of an isolated incident pertaining to our particular combo of those factors above - only though worth giving out the warning in case anyone else is in a similar boat.

Sorry, I should mention that in these cases, device, route, and stage of course reported no issues/no disconnect or behaved otherwise different from when opened in 5.5.6, no broken cues etc - just nothing making it to the PJ in reality.

I quickly tested this version on my MacBook monitor, and I can confirm that I also wasn’t able to display the surface grid on it. So what FL K wrote doesn’t surprise me. To fix the issue, I performed a downgrade.

QLab 5.5.8 was released today with a couple of small fixes, the big one being:

• Grids and guides were accidentally broken in 5.5.7, but now they work again.
