Hi guys,

Just a quick one. It was last minute we decided to use QLab for video playback as well as sound. I've always did sound but first time with video. So i thought we could use the MacBook with extended display and have video running off there but I realised QLab does not recognise the output port as a separate output (?)
I do see the video playing when i'm not connected to a display output but once i'm connected, and i'm on extended display it doesnt run any video at all! And when i tried to mirror display, the video cues are broken.

Any help please? We're tech-ing tomorrow :(

Hi Ning,

I think you may just be missing one setup step.

When an external display is connected, QLab will show the displays in workspace preferences as they are defined by the system preferences.

Make sure that the screen you are using for your video cues (e.g. Screen 1, Screen 2, etc.) is patched to the new display.

See here:

http://figure53.com/qlab/documentation/videocue.php#preferences

Once it is patched it should play on the assigned screen.

Best,
Chris
