QLab Touch Bar Presets

I've been using a utility called Better Touch Tool to make that little strip of touch screen where my escape key should be actually functional and useful. It's a great wee piece of software and actually unlocks a whole lot of customisation within the Mac OS.

Finally got around to bundling up my presets if they're of any use to anyone's productivity and/or interest.

Thanks for sharing this: I'd actually not thought of customising BTT for QLab – I use it for global keyboard shortcuts (with some app-specific ones) and the incredibly useful Clipboard / Pasteboard History & Window Snapping tools.

Hi,

I've downloaded the Btt demo, but, everytime i try to use the qlab presets they disappear from the touchbar!! when i get back to BTT i see that the default setup is the only one selected. ¨active¨...select the Qlab presets and again they only show until I actually try to use them. (program, fader etc...) Is this a limitation of the BTT demo? or is there something else going on ??

AWESOME!!!
I posted in the QLab Facebook group something of my own design with BTT, that over the years has been added to and tweaked to fit my workflow.
I added custom Cue Carts in a workspace template and used System Prefs to add keystrokes for all the other cue types.
I tried to share it and explain setup with people, but it just caused too much headache because of all the added layers (we all have our processes...haha)

I can give it another try, but I’ll have to some decent sized updates my PDF setup guide.
On top of just loading the preset into BTT, there are some custom Keyboard shortcuts for menu items in QLab that need to be made as well as a fairly large cue cart with a bunch of my custom built Script and OSC cues.
I do have a bit more time than usual (Thank You COVID-19) so I’ll try and get this done and uploaded at some point.
That being said, OP’s preset is fairly easy to get setup and use, so please grab theirs!
In and effort to not hijack this thread from OP, I’ll make a separate thread at some point once my setup guide is finished and I’ll upload a zip file with all instructions.

But take your time
Given all the features, I can imagine it takes a lot of time to get it organized...
