to QLab
Really? you can already do this with QLab collaboration, no license needed to view and you can see the time remaining and running cues. you can also do this in QLab remote or iPad (again free for view only). And also for free, you can view cue list and remaining time in Cue View app.
You can also generate various 'remaining time' displays using scripts and output to various displays using NDI.
Yet you have wasted months of development time and now want to charge a subscription for something that is widely available for free!

Hi everyone,

After several months of development, I’d like to share a small project I’ve been working on called QRT (QLab Remaining Time).

QRT is a read-only companion for QLab 5. It connects via OSC, reads the workspace in real time, and presents the running show in a way that’s easy to follow for operators and the rest of the production team.

It doesn’t control QLab or modify the workspace in any way—it simply displays useful information such as:

  • Current cue
  • Next cue
  • Remaining time and countdowns
  • Cue groups and sequence progression
  • Memos and stage notes
  • Dedicated views for different departments (sound, lighting, video, stage…)

The display can also be viewed from any device on the local network using a web browser.

I’d really appreciate feedback from experienced QLab users. If you decide to try it, I’d love to hear what works well, what doesn’t, and what features you’d like to see.

There’s a 7-day free trial available on the Mac App Store.
