QLab OSC communication is pretty much fully explained here:

https://qlab.app/docs/v5/scripting/osc-dictionary-v5/#three-ways-to-use-osc-with-qlab

If you want to use this information in Companion, this is probably best accomplished using a module in Companion.

You may well find that the QLab with feedback (QLabfb) connection built into Companion already, provides sufficient information for whatever your requirements are.  This Companion Module is not maintained or supported by Figure53; all the details for using it and communicating with its developers are here:

https://github.com/bitfocus/companion-bundled-modules/tree/main/figure53-qlab-advance

If this is insufficient for your needs, then you would probably need to write your own module, but this requires a huge amount of work in the first place, and then a huge commitment in time and effort to maintain,  with changes in QLab's OSC implementation and changes in Companion as both platforms are updated with new versions.

There are some examples of using Companion with QLab  with the QLabfb module in the QLab Cookbook

https://qlab.app/cookbook/companion-for-musical-directors/

https://qlab.app/cookbook/more-advanced-companion/

That's really the summary of my knowledge on this issue, and it's not really an area I would claim much expertise in, so the subject of your post may not be the best starting point, but I hope this reply is helpful in leading you to a solution.

Best

Mic
