First, thank you to Freddy Komp for answering my file-saving question.

I have 171 video and audio cues on a MacBook, video out with a VGA adapter to a projector. Because the projector and screen are not aligned, we need to resize, rotate, and translate ALL video cues equally. Is there a way to do this once globally without doing it to each cue separately?

Thanks in advance,

Ron Murphy

Just make a simple Quartz patch that does the transformations you need and then apply that to all the cues.

Thank you, Matthew. If I knew what a Quartz patch was, I'd probably be happy. I'll try to find out about this on my own, but I may be back seeking help.

Ron,
Sorry, I assumed and you know how the saying goes. Anyway, Quartz Composer is Apple's visual programming language for image and audio manipulation. It is included with the free developer tools included with every Mac. You might now have it installed yet but it should be included on the OS disc that came with the computer or you can download it from Apple's developer site. Anyway, QLab allows you to route the contents of a video cue through a Quartz Composer patch that performs processing on it before routing the content back to QLab for output to your displays. You can choose a QC patch to use through the Composer tab in a video cue. You will need to configure the patch for QLab to communicate with it properly so you'll want to check out the documentation for both Quartz Composer and QLab.
