I am trying to create an effect of a baby crying in a basket on stage.

Using qlab and a bluetooth speaker had worked but now it's intermittent.  Meaning it works sometimes well and sometimes it is choppy.

1.  is this a good idea or should I use another solution
2.  What can I do to make the bluetooth have a clear signal.   I was planning either a usb extender to locate the bluetooth dongle over the stage or placing a computer with bluetooth closer to the stage.
3  Bluetooth works fine with itunes but when I put it in qlab it's sometimes hit or miss

Thanks for your help

I'm running qlab 2 on a mac tower

Not sure if it would be loud enough for you, but have you considered the Stagecaller app?

I would suspect interference with the signal.  I don't think qLab has anything to do with it.  Last time I did this I used a wireless speaker system.

The standard is an IEM to transmit signal wirelessly, with a battery powered speaker plugged into the receiver where the headphones belong.

Hi Phil,

I'll second Dan on using an In Ear Monitor pack with battery powered speaker.

Cheers
