No current plans for Android; sticking with what we know.

But I would guess that someone with enough time and motivation could "roll their own" since it's just talking to QLab over OSC- correct?

Yes, that's certainly correct. The OSC API allows for anyone to write a client for QLab; we currently have two (QLab Remote and qcmd). We may add others in the future but anyone who feels like making one should feel free.

Good to know. In theory, that would also apply to building a remote application for the desktop as well. I'm thinking about something akin to the designer workstation that lighting guys use, have a main computer in the booth that an operator sits at, then a designer client somewhere else that can edit things without having to take over the entire screen like doing it via VNC would do.
