Hi Q People
I've been tasked with coming up with two gags for lights as well as sounds.
Our local theatre group is doing "Almost Maine" & "You can't take it with you"
Both plays have lighting gags in them. One is the aurora borealis and the other is a fireworks effect with sound.
I've used the timeline function before for a different play but the fireworks gag needs to be more precise; bright flash w/ an explosion happens, kind of thing.
My limitations are this; I'm using QLab .4.7, I have basic audio and pro video but not pro lights. I have the basic 16 channels of DMX which was fine for the 'camp fire' gag I used before ( see attached )
And I figure I can do the same w/ the aurora gag, just change the colors to red, greens, pinks... but the fireworks needs pops of flashes.
My question is this; is there a library of this type of effect somewhere in this forum and is there a trick to getting exactly the right place on the timeline for the pops? I'm a FinalCutPro editor; I'm used to typing in timecode! :-)
Thanks for your advice.
cheers
