Hi,

I'm using Qlab for narrowcasting purposes.
My playlist consists of images and video's.
At the end of each image/video I want a fade to black.
I've managed to achieve this for the images like this:

Image1 post-wait 5s auto-continue
Animation transparency 0% duration 0,5s post-wait 0,5s

How do I do this for video? A auto-follow with a post-wait that is a
little bit shorter than the duration of the video?
I cannot figure it out.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

The animation cue works for video as well as stills. You have a choice as to when to execute the fade out. Either, as you say, you can set the Postwait for a shorter time than the duration of the video to let the fade happen in motion, or you can uncheck 'Auto-stop at end,' in the settings tab on the Video cue to have it hold the last frame and fade that out. Either should work fine though please make sure that the clip gets stopped at some point. Otherwise, it just hangs out in memory taking up space. You can also do this on the Animation Cue by checking 'Stop target when done' in the Settings tab.

Have fun!
