ENTTEC USB Pro Mk2 MIDI

I just bought a new ENTTEC USB Pro Mk2 MIDI with the MIDI cable.

I can't seem to get the MIDI part to show up as a interface and work on my MAC (ie QLab). I can send midi to it via the Enttec Pro Manager software and get the purple light to come on.

Has anyone done this successfully.

So to answer my own question. The answer is NO.

Once you read past the slick marketing, the API and the hardware design makes it impossible to use the MIDI portion of the MK2, except for uses I can't seem to grasp in three pieces of software.

To quote enttec:

"The DMX USB PRO Mk2 has an inbuilt MIDI port that allows you to connect hardware MIDI devices to some specific lighting control software

For this special MIDI port to work, you will need the optional Midi breakout cable and be using one of the following programs that support this feature:
