License renewal

I applied for a short term Pro Video rental to get through the
weekend. Dropped the license on the QLab icon in the application
window. The program shows X's in the left hand side of the cue sheet.
Manage Licenses says it's running version 2.3.7. Did the same download
one week ago and all was well. What could be blocking the software
from operating?

Hi Rob,

When a cue is broken (showing the red X) you can hold your mouse over the cue to get a tooltip which will explain the reason it is broken. Check that and let me know what it says. My guess is that your screen(s) may not be assigned in the workspace preferences.

You were absolutely correct, in that the tooltip suggested assigning a
screen to the cue. Actually, this was mostly my bad. All the cues had
been assigned to screen 2 only, so, when the projector was connected
to the laptop, all the X's went away, of course. Had me fooled for
awhile until I got back to the theatre for the first of three shows
today, that, after renewing the rental license for the weekend. All is
good and thanks so much for your advice!
