Hi All,

I’m putting together a screen-based, quiz-style gameshow and I need a cue that I can trigger repeatedly to increment a number on screen (for example, counting from 1 to 20). At the moment, I have a hotkey that triggers a “ping” sound for a correct answer, and I’d like that same action to also increase the on-screen score by one each time it’s triggered.

Is this something that’s possible in QLab, and if so, what’s the best way to approach it?

Ta!

Louis

--increment the text of a cue numbered "S1"

tell application id "com.figure53.QLab.5" to tell front workspace

try

set the text of cue "S1" to (text of cue "S1" as number) + 1 as text

on error

display alert "Cue does not exist or text of cue is not a number"

end try

end tell
