So, we have a HS show coming up where the actors are wanting to cast their phone screens (up to nine devices - maybe not all at once, probably 4 max at any one time).

I found the post about AirServer and worked with it briefly and it seems like a great option with one possible issue - when the device sleeps it seems to lose the connection to Qlab, and when reconnecting will QLab remember the patch to the same AirServer device (Patch 1 = always Melissa's IPad)?

Anyone have easy solutions for keeping the Patch the same, first. Then the Connections to AirServer active throughout a show.

Or any other suggestions for Screen Casting apps that QLab will control?

Thanks for any simple solutions, as high school students will be running this for only a week.

Thanks!

While I haven't worked with AirServer, I am designing a show at the moment that's using EpocCam on the phones, EpocCam Viewer on the show computer and then syphoning from EpocCam into QLab. We've got 3 devices using it and initial tests seem to show things are working well. Might be worth looking into.

Best of luck!

Thanks for this, I looked into it a bit and realized we don't just want to use the phone/device cameras but actually the whole screen view - so it will show them typing their texts, taking a selfie, etc.
Looks like EpocCam is just for the cameras streaming.

Thanks
