We have just completed out first show using Qlab (a musical). Everything went perfectly.
It was fairly simple to what you guys seem to be doing - we had lots of audio stems and videos and fades - that was all. So now I'm thinking the scenes we had pre-programmed into the console (Yamaha QL1), should be triggered from Qlab too, and can therefore probably have a lot more particularly to control mutes on the 12 radio mics. What would be the best/standard /most reliable way of sending a scene change into the console (or any console for matter)  - midi?

Thanks

The way I always do it is program the console directly, the use MIDI cues in QLab to send program change messages to recall specific scenes.
