Hi Pros,

I have a simple question, is it possible to read the running time in timeline mode of group cue  using script, e.g. as - action elapsed - command does in case of cue. I didn't find solution for this problem. can Anyone advice?

Thanks in advance!

Which version of QLab? I think there might be a bug in 5.2.3 here…

In QLab 4.7, action elapsed of a timeline cue appears to correctly report “the time in seconds that have elapsed in the action of the cue” as you’d expect – it is, after all, a property of all cue objects.

In QLab 5.2.3 it reports what looks like a random number that I can’t figure out… However (percent action elapsed) * (duration) does give me a number that looks like the action elapsed. I’ve only tested this superficially.

I can't find a problem with this (QLab 5.2.3 Monterey) and can't replicate Rich's random number.

But perhaps I have misunderstood the question?

Oh no Mic, you got it right.
Rich, I do not used version 5 yet.

The full thruth,
I didn't notice that the timeline group also has an action property and
I can get it the running time using 'action elapsed' command in script. Sorry.
It is all, I am getting older. Oh my God!
But I would like to say thanks for help all you two and enlightening my mind.
Thank's again to both of you, as it should be.

Regards,
Kalman

I can’t recreate it either now… I was getting numbers below 100 when loading to 3 minutes or more in – but it won’t do it again!

False alarm.
