CamTwist works for this, as a Syphon camera input into QLab.  (Tested OS10.15.7 QLab 4.6.9 CamTwist 3.4.3)

Here are 3 setups using one other piece of software for web browser to QLab Camera Cues that work in Catalina.

(Other methods are available some of which use chains of  programs e.g NDIScan Convertor to  NDI Syphon)

1 CamTwist

Desktop+ source confined to specific Chrome window. You may get occasional black flashes with this.

2. OBS Virtual Camera

Screenshot 2021-02-23 at 12.49.39.png

Possibly a bit more processor intensive, but bringing OBS output into QLab and vice versa opens up all sorts of possibilities. Uses a window source on OBS . Virtual Camera must be started in  OBS with button on bottom right of window (Currently showing Stop Virtual Camera)

3.  ChromeSyphon

Screenshot 2021-02-23 at 12.51.00.png

More recent than CefWithSyphon, which it is based on, but still over 4 years old. It is a standalone, very simple browser with Syphon output built in. It runs an outdated version of Chrome so there may be security implications.

You could also try

ScreenCaptureSyphon (costs about 10$)

and

Syphoner (free)

just found this thread whilst looking for a solution to cueing a browser tab, works brilliant thanks Mic

Is there a way in CamTwist or something similar that would get a iPhone mirroring in a separate window?

A lot has happened since that thread,

Most of the software mentioned there  is obsolete with anything past Catalina (OBS Virtual Camera is OK)

ScreenCaptureSyphon (QLab4) or NDI scan converter (QLab5) are the best ways of doing this currently.

It's a shame that there isn't anything that is as versatile as CamTwist

Oh, I've just been using CamTwist on Monterey and it works great for capturing the browser

I'll check out ScreenCaptureSyphon

Yes, your'e right CamTwist is good on Monterey.

ScreenCaptureSyphon is downloadable on Github

This works well on Monterey, but looks like it Is currently not being developed, so will probably break when MacOS stops supporting Intel software

Thanks. And as far as wirelessly casting your iphone screen into a cue, the only option I've found is OBS with a iPhone cable attached to the macbook

I've been recommended https://letsview.com/mac, but it only allows you to download exe which is odd

For iPhone screen share I’ve used air server successfully before - https://www.airserver.com/Mac - it even does syphon out - you can just set your iPhone screen to share to air server and it works well

hello

You could also have a look at the NDI tools suite -> NDI scan converter.

THanks, hoping for a free solution, but might have to go down this route. Thanks again

NDI Scan Converter on the Mac is free. Only the iOS version costs money.
