Hi guys,

We purchased a AJA ioXT in good faith it would work as a input source for our many machines running Qlab3. The 2xSDI + HDMI input of the ioXT was alluring.
BUT, now that I have it in hand, it does not speak well with Qlab at all. It does appear as a camera input in Qlab, but when the que is fired there is no ouput (or throughput) from the camera.

Any of you expereinced guys out there that might have come across this before, or used the ioXT with Qlab?

Appreciate any response!!

Cheers

I don't think AJA devices are supported as input devices with QLab. You can use certain Blackmagic product for this instead.
See documentation for more details: http://figure53.com/qlab/docs/camera-cues/

Correct. But I have read (though I don’t know if this is true) that the ioXT works with older SequenceGrabber-based software, which means you may be able to use Quartz Composer to get frames from it into QLab. Check out the “Unsupported cameras” section at https://figure53.hostedwiki.co/pages/QLab%203%20Quartz%20Composer

Adding dedicated AJA support is on our substantial list of future improvements to consider. Can’t make any guarantees, but it’s on our radar.

Thanks guys, helps a lot!

I might get a hold of a Blackmagic Ultrastudio 3D, wich I hope works, but it is not a permanent solution.
If going through Quartz Composer is a solution I would like to try that. Unfortunatly the links on the Wiki page is dead (https://figure53.hostedwiki.co/pages/files/camera.qtz).
QC is a new thing for me, so where would I go around to find that file?? camera.qtz??

Cheers

Hi Helge,

It maybe got lost in the transition to the new wiki host, I went and found a file of that name from my archive here (attached).

I’ll see about adding it back to that page, if it’s the right one.
