Alpha channel

Hello

I am trying to layer videos using alpha channels and I have tried using the recommended prores4444 

but I cannot get any video I have with an alpha channel to work, it keeps popping up with a black background

are there any settings I can change within qlab to be able to layer my videos

Hi Meg,

There are no settings to change in QLab; the only thing I can think of to suggest is to double check the file is Preres 4444 and has the alpha channel. If it does it should just work. luckydave or Sean may have other ideas….

What software did you use to produce your alpha channels?

I have rendered  some alpha movs from After Effects using the 4444 codec

The settings I used were

RGB+Alpha

Millions of Colors +

Mic

The transparency in Qlab works exactly as I would expect.
