Those knocking Roland's video products have not used them. I used their first VJ mixer the V-4 endlessly, then the V-8, now the VR-50HD, and have already ordered 5 of the V-1HD's for friends and for my rental inventory.
We have 3 of the VR-50HD's and love them. They manage Audio and Video over HDMI or HDSDI or Analog, create a USB 3.0 HD streaming output, manage HDCP, and every in or output has pixel accurate scaling, shift, color space settings, plus Proc Amp, and then there are a few Pip's... Logo store.. Never mind the multi view... It puts the Sony or Panasonic 4 input SDI switchers to shame. Ditto for Analog way in the same price point.
And they always have some Midi control in there....
I tested a prototype of the V-1 and it is a solid build, heavy enough to not slide around, super portable, and simple to use. There is no other product that handles 4 HDMI inputs with 2 outputs like that... never mind it also has PiP and audio and midi via web interface or a smart device App.
Every Tried the TVOne 1T-C2-750? - 2 DVI in, one out... terrible onscreen GUI... terrible manual, hard to setup, and fails or glitches all the time....
We have 2, both had to have the main board replaced within 2 years...
