Hi,
I'm having problems connecting a QLab to a GrandMA2 console over MSC
via midi. I can run a show by using MIDI Voice message but I can't run the show by using MSC message. I attach the video of MA2 and Q lab settings. Could you take a look and give me some advice? Thank you all.

Grand MA formats their MSC message to include 2 decimal places. If you number your cue 1.00 instead of 1 it should work.

Best,

Andrew

Here is a video showing options and how to do it.

Also note that you must have the EXECUTOR selected that you have your cues in and "be in a session". The executor that you have your lights cues hooked up to is the Q list number you need to enter in the MSC Q list field.

For clarity, image 1.png, is unneeded. This is only needed if you want to have QLab be triggered from other external sources and has nothing to do with QLab sending out MSC to the GrandMA.

I always number my MSC cues to the GrandMA2 with 3 decimal places :-) "2.000" or "111.120"
As far as I remember, "1.11" would not work. This is also documented quite clearly in the GrandMA2 manual :-)

Good luck!!

I’ve done it with no decimal places no problem on at least 20 GrandMA 2’s.
