As a Wednesday after Cyber Monday Special Gift... download 1000 free apps here!!
Each app does very little, but the little it does, in combination with an app that is on every Mac, can actually achieve a lot!
Each app starts 1 of 1000 QLab cues numbered CAL000 to CAL999.
That doesn't sound very exciting but the clue to it's usefulness is in the numbering scheme prefix....
In Calendar.app set up a new Calendar to keep these events separate.
Create new events using all the repeat options available, drag and drop, copy and paste ics files etc. in the Calendar app as required.
For each event create a custom alert that starts one of the apps like this:
This is ideal for signage applications, allowing you to schedule cues across minutes, days, months, years, or centuries with consummate ease. Calendars can sync across multiple machines allowing easy networks of multiple QLab machines to be set up either locally, or anywhere in the connected universe.
On recent MacOS you will probably have to open all the apps once prior to use to set permission for them to control QLab. You can just select them all, open them, and then just keep hitting return every time the notification pops up asking for permission. (There is probably some clever way of doing this in a batch, which someone might like to add to the thread)
Enjoy,
Mic
