Hello, I run Qlab with an RF remote in my pocket. The remote, which is usually intended for powerpoint presentations, simply presses spacebar for me from a distance.

The problem I am having is that sometimes I will accidentally press the button more than once and two cues will play simultaneously.

After the first click, is there a way to prevent Qlab from accepting any further input for a period of 10 seconds or so?

Yes - in the general settings, there’s a ‘minimum time between each go’ setting.

Michael,

I'm curious which remote you are using - the last time I wanted to do this I had a hard time finding a remote which could be mapped to the space bar...

Thanks,

Andy

I use this http://www.scosche.com/remote-for-ipad-bluetooth-wireless
with Quickeys, making it a device.

I have successfully used the PowerPresenter by Honeywell.

You can also remap the GO  to Page down or whatever your remote sends.

If you want to retain space bar for the operator then you can make a start cue which targets the cuelist and make the hotkey trigger for that page down

To double go protect this put the protection time in the post wait for the start cue.

The problem I had with remapping keys is that the remotes I have use arrows for forward and back, and the last time I tried, that wasn't available to be mapped.

The Honeywell RF Presenter let's you program the keys of the remote to any keyboard key you want.  I've used multiple remotes in several touring shows for several years now (first with SAMSC and now with Qlab and Isadora).   It's also RF instead of infrared - no line of sight issues.  Great product.
