In Qlab,

WORKSPACE PREFERENCES / AUDIO tab

Drag a wire from the first patch point to your UAD.

Assuming the drivers are installed for the UAD & your Pro Audio license is active on that machine, you should now be able to send any audio cues you have to 1 thru 8 by turning up the level (under the levels tab) of each cue.

You shouldn't need to mess with any of the audio / midi settings in the OS unless you also want things like Itunes to play thru your UAD. Even so, you still have to do the patching in QLab mentioned already.

Hi everyone,

Im beside myself trying to route audio to the 1-8 channel outputs of the UAD Apollo. Should I have multiple speaker system selected in my Audio Midi Set up (Mac)? Should the interface show up as stereo pairs in the preferences rather than one singe devise? Is the routing done with the crosshairs? I have a licence, and just cannot get the sound beyond the master L&R. Can anyone assist please. Im hoping it is something extremely simple, and Im just being a klutz.

cheers

I don't know the Apollo, but on some devices there's a device control panel, supplied by the manufacturer which allows you to activate/deactivate certain banks of I/O.

In Qlab, the crosspoints control the routing of the audio file's channels to the device's output channels.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Ive tried all of these things to no avail. The Apollo sends to every channel (have tested it through Pro Tools) however it doesn't want to send through the crosshair matrix from Qlab…

I will keep trying - its pretty frustrating!!

I worked it out - thanks to QLab support

the line outs go from 3 - 10 in the device editor in Qlab.

Everything is routing properly now

thanks
