Hi there,

completely new to QLab and need help for an art project.
What I need are 3 cues with a video file each, and at the end of each cue the video has to stop and hold the last frame, until a midi signal is received and the next video cue starts, then after 3 files the whole thing has to start at the beginning.
My problem is that even though I select "Hold at End", my output goes black as soon as the first video cue is finished. And, if I get it to work, I need to know how to get the cues to stop displaying the last frame once a different one has been triggered via MIDI. Each cue has its own MIDI values set.

I'm using the free version of QLab.

Thanks,

Jason

Ugh, please forget it! My very dumb problem was that I had a single black frame at the end of the video. I used QuickTime to cut the very end of the video off and now it works! So, if you run across this very stupid problem, check your last frame.

Alternatively, in Qlab, in the Time & Loops tab you can stop the video before the black frame comes in and it will hold from wherever you do stop.
FYI you'll also need to program a stop or fade out for when you want the video to go away!
