Hi!  I'm having trouble with the outputs on a Mac Studio. I'm using four, and occasionally one of them gets lost, but Qlab doesn't tell me, and when I shoot the video, it appears black. I think it might be due to the connector type. I want to buy USB-C to HDMI adapters. Is this one I'm showing suitable for this? Any recommendations?
Thanks

I had the same sort of problem which turned out to be adapter related.  After a bunch of research and some invaluable help here, I lit on the CalDigit Minidock which gives you two HDMI ports per USB-C.  I bought 2 of those and have had no problems with my four projector system since.

Hope that helps.

Hello

The Caldigit mini dock is a thunderbolt 3 hub. It does have a usb-c connector but it’s not an usb hub. Thunderbolt has been a way more robust technology supporting PCIe and Display Port.

I don’t use mine anymore because I now use SDI, so I moved to blackmagic ultrastudio monitor 3g (also thunderbolt) and a blackmagic deckling duo 2 in a sonnet enclosure (also thunderbolt). And if needed I convert back the SDI signal to HDMI with a decimator MD-HX or MD-LX (the previous blackmagic micro converters were totally unreliable - prone to RF signal interferences - total garbage show stoppers - I don’t know about the most recent one tho)

The blackmagic ustrastudio monitor 3g still gives you one HDMI connection.

So beware of the usb non thunderbolt but yet thunderbolt compatible adapters. You’ll find ressources on this group.

bye

I have a sonnet with a decklink duo 2. So a solution would be to connect the Sonnet to the Mac studio and so it would have 4 Sdi outputs but if I need it to be the 4k output I couldn't. I would have to use a 4k adapter

Would this active adapter work just as well? I'm considering using several or just a couple of docking stations.
