Hello! I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this question, but I'm experiencing a problem with SitePainter.
I can upload the .svg image I created, but I don't have the "Browse" button in my window... so I can't upload the metadata... I also tried with the tutorial files, and the problem was the same... Then, I tried to disinstall and download again Java and Firefox, but nothing changed...
Any suggestion?

Thanks
Francesca

Hi Francesca,

Which version of FireFox are you using? There is a known bug between
Java and certain Firefox versions. My solution is to use an older
version and not allowing the auto update.

Here you can find the note and a link to an older, tested, working
version of Firefox, check the first Note:
http://sitepainter.sourceforge.net/ and how to stop the auto update:
1.At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools
menu in Windows XP) and then click Options. 2.Click the Advanced
panel. 3.Click the Update tab. The auto-update options are displayed.

Hi Antonio!

Thanks for your reply, you were right, it was a problem between Java and Firefox!!Now I succeeded in upload both the metadata and my image, but I have another question... How can I select the different elements of my picture (that correspond to the samples in my metadata) and tell it which element is each row of the metdata file? I attached my picture... I don't know if this could be the problem, but I obtained it in power point and then saved as svg in AdobeIllustrator...

Thanks again
Francesca

Hi Francesca,

You should take a look at
http://sitepainter.sourceforge.net/documentation/index.html for
information about this. Anyway, the way SitePainter works is that it
looks for close path figures, rectangles and circles, in your case you
do not have any of these. My suggestion is to load the image in
SitePainter and then create a new shape, left menu; then you can use
the right menu to check the name of the elements (Elem.). Note that if
you double click on the name element, right menu, you can edit it.
When you color, SitePainter searches for the sample names that are on
your data file and matches them to your element name, elements that do
not match any sample name will be "ignored".

Cheers,
