Hi! I'm using QIIME for first time. I ran the pick_de_novo.py script, and I got a single fasta file (contains 454 sequences from 7 different sites) with all OTUs and taxonomic classification. It is mixed and now I want to separate the OTUs in the 7 corresponding samples. What is the script that should run to achieve this?

Thanks!!

Hi Deb,

This looks like a duplicate question you asked in other email? To recap your question, you'd like to know which sequence belong to which 7 sites? If so, the sequence header in that fasta contains the OTU id and from OTU table, you know what sample has what OTUs. Taken tegother, you will know what sample have what sequences in it.
