system requirements

Hi Qiime members,

I'm new in the Qiime communty. Can somebody give me information what system requirements Qiime needs to handle two full Titanium runs? What core machine and how much GB RAM would be needed to work with the pipeline? Or would you recommend to run it on one of the instances of EC2?

Now at the time of that thread we were still testing the capabilities
of EC2 to create a cluster for analysis and since the integration with
StarClustet (http://web.mit.edu/star/cluster/docs/latest/quickstart.html)
it has become one of our main analytical tools, you should check it.
Beware that it can become expensive if you are not careful with the
number of instances and you analytical time.
