i wonder how the double-elimination final is going to be played out.

will the organizers account for the winner of the loser's bracket
previous loss?

If the current year's tournament is run similarly to last year's
tournament, then the first loss by the winner of the loser's bracket
_will_ be taken into account. If the undefeated winner of the top
bracket plays the winner of the loser's bracket and the undefeated
play wins, then the tournament is finished. If the winner of the
loser's bracket wins the match, then both players would have one loss
and a second match would determine the tournament winner.
