Hi all,

My research team recently started working with some data that use College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) code as the ID variable for public and private high schools.

I would like to merge these data to NCES data on public high schools and NCES data on private high schools.

NCES data on public high schools - Common Core of Data files - uses "ncessch", which is a 12-digit id variable with the label "Unique school ID"

NCES data on private high schools - from the Private School Universe Survey - uses "ppin", which is an 8-digit variable and has the label "Permanent Identification Number"

Does anyone know where I can get:
1. A crosswalk between CEEB and ncessch [public schools]?
2. A  crosswalk between CEEB and ppin [private schools?

Thank you! Ozan.

Below is the best free resource that I have been able to find:

I am currently working on a project using data where most of the students are from Kansas, and this seems to have matched up reliably with a majority of the CEEB codes when crosschecked with the student's home zip code.
