Minimum grid size

Hello,

First, I am thankful to Emanuele and Rogero for developing qgis2fds. I am planning to use it for my work and I just enabled the qgis2fds plugin in QGIS and checking for US as guided in Quickstart. 

I have a couple of very basic questions. 

1. What is the minimum grid size we can use with qgis2fds? 

2. How we can choose a specific area from the map other than US? I am particularly interested in Australia. 

Please note that I am very new to QGIS too.

About the second point: I read some posts of a few members of this group modelling some regions in Europe and South America. So, I thought perhaps this feature was available globally.
