Hello,

I've been using the qgis2fds plugin and it works well with every DEM I try to export, however when I try to include a Fire Layer, it gives me some errors, and I don't know what I did wrong. This is what it says:

(6/6) Prepare geometry and write the FDS case file...

No landuse type *.csv file.

No wind *.csv file.

Save terrain texture file: <D:\Doctorat\07_WFDS-files\7_10_Topography\prova2\terrain4_tex.png>

Texture saved in 0.07 s

Apply fire layer bcs...

Hi Marina,
At first sight it is a qgis2fds issue. It should not throw an error like that.

In the meantime, please double check that you created a right landuse type csv file as explained in:

Then open an issue at:

and include your complete case (both the qgis file and all referenced sources).

Thank you,
Emanuele

Thank you, you were right. I haven't used any landuse layer nor csv file because I'm working with data from Spain, and the sources you are using are from US. Is there any way I could display any fire from a vector file with my own data and not use the LANDFIRE layer?

Thank you,
Marina

Marina, in addition to the digital elevation model you need a layer defining your vegetation.
In Europe we don't have such a great, unified data source as LANDFIRE. So you should build your own. Not an easy task...
Where are you based in Spain? Are you working at CERTEC UPC? I am going to be in Barcelona from Monday to Wednesday, just in case.
