We are sharing the case study by Chinmay Shaligram titled “Comparison of Watershed Delineation Using SRTM and CartoDEM in QSWAT+: A Case Study of the Mula River Basin”.

Using QGIS and the QSWAT+ plugin, this study documents a comparative geospatial workflow for watershed delineation in the Mula River Basin, Pune District, Maharashtra.

The workflow evaluates stream generation and sub-basin delineation using SRTM (~30 m, 2003) and CartoDEM (10 m, 2018), highlighting how DEM resolution and acquisition year influence hydrological modelling outputs, particularly in urban areas.
