to QFlex
1. Qflex is agentless which significantly reduces cost of ownership
and management.
2. You can pick any database to store historical performance and we
provide database DDL so you can query it yourself if you'd like.
3. Qflex is much easier to use. Yes this is subjective but it is a
fact.
4. Web based interface.
5. Quality of service monitors based historical performance data.
6. In Qflex, you decide how long to keep performance data and what
resolution level.
7. Qflex training is free.
8. We provide our experts at no charge to configure Qflex to address
your specific needs.
9. Cost. Qflex uses a different pricing model which would make a lot
more attractive for a customer like Wellsfargo. See attached quote.
10. Charts. Qflex provides esthetically pleasing, meaning and
intuitive charts outlining queue depth trending, msg in and msg out
rates.
11. Stat watch uses MQ Performance Events meaning that the more queues
you have the more overhead load you will have on the queue manager.
Qflex does not use performance events and its load on queue manager is
constant below 2%. Performance events can contribue as much as 30% cpu
on busy environments.
12. Qflex detects all usage. No configuration on MQ or client side
needs to be done and Qflex is independent of how fast applications
operate. Even if 100K messages are enqueue and dequeued withing same
second, Qflex will know about it. Statwatch will not.

Qpasa uses 3 tier architecture. Agent, Server and Client application
which has to be installed on each user's machine. Qflex is a one tier
with internal separation of concerns. All components live as a web
based application and are prioritized accordingly. No install is
necessary anywhere on user's machine.

Monitoring templates. You can set up a template for a monitor and then
with a click of a button, apply that template to many queues, channels
or queue managers.

Monitor based on the presense of FDC files or specific error codes in
AMQERROR log files.

Create alert text using variables such as queue name, current q depth
and many others. These variable then get converted into actual values
when alert is issued.

Quality of service monitors which detect stale messages and monitor
off enqueue/dequeue rates.

Qpasa server and desktop run only on windows. Qflex can run anywhere
and be accessed from anywhere.

Multiple users can access qflex without additional license cost.
