Dear Ms. Teta,

CC    : Ms. Tefel

Please see the KKC MOA where signatories are from different organizations. I just noticed that QC Tourism Council is not always included in any invitation projects of the office of the Mayor, though sometimes i am attending some events representing different organization as PCCIQC Board of Trustee & PRO. I am just wondering how come the Mayor forgot that one of the most supportive organizations during SB and her term as VM is QC Tourism Council. I also wanted to know what happened to our letter of request recovery stimulus assistance from the Mayor? It was not acted upon, or i may not know that it was not able to reach the Mayor herself. One of the most affected sector of the covid 19 is the tourism sector, and although PCCIQC is now very closed to the Mayor because of our P68M donations to the City, some restaurateurs that are members of PCCIQC were able to favorably benefited from the financial wage stimulus provided by the City Govt., twice (first tranche and second tranche). Those companies are members of PCCIQC. I am worried that some of our members were not able to get that benefits because they are not members of PCCIQC. In this attached MOA the Tourism Sector is not represented which is the much affected sector. No one will hear our voice or predicament or concerns if we are not represented or participant in this signing. I still believe that QC has a better room for Tourism Development, and one of the key economic drivers to help the city bounce back is tourism, so why we remain set aside??

I am just sharing my observation. I hope the Mayor may reach this observation.

Stay safe and God save us all. Together We Heal as One.

Dear Raffy;

Acknowledging receipt of your email.

While I understand that a letter of request to the Mayor was sent, was there anyone from the Board of Directors of the  QC Tourism Council who called to follow up from the Office of the City Mayor?

Please understand that the QCG received numerous request for assistance from various groups/ associations therefore, at least someone from the Council can follow this up from the OCM staff.

This does not mean that the Mayor have ignored the council’s concerns as your letter insinuated. At one point, Zet zette even read the Stimulus Packages being offered to the QC based MSMe’s and she and I even had a conversation about it and the problems her company went through. The Stimulus Packages for the MSMe came out in media sometime June 2020 and the packages available  is open for all types of businesses regardless of the industry you belong. (See attached Press Release).

You need to personally appear and have an audience with the Mayor so she can hear you out. However, if no one is doing the follow up from the council’s end then, how can she act on your request?

Our QC Govt facebook page is updated with all the Pandemic Responses of the LGU - these are constantly posted which I am pretty sure most of you follow.

As to your concern with regards why the QCTC was not represented at all in the QC MOA between other associations, am afraid I do not have an answer to that question.

Again, the Mayor has no intention of not including the Tourism Council but, you need to be actively involve by your constant follow up.

Here is the Link to the article on Stimulus Packages offered by the QCG :

If you can kindly send me that letter which you sent to the Mayor sometime ago, I shall try to discuss with her in my capacity as your former Chairperson.

Kind regards,

Tetta

Dear Ms. Teta,

My sending you an email is an act of emissary to iron out the kinks why QC Tourism Council is becoming out of the picture and am just worried that some members may not be able to avail the Kalingang QC Wage Relief and Negosyo Program that the PCCIQC members are presently availing. In fact it is a very good QC Program  that subsidize the wages of the employees of Companies based in QC for the next 3 months. It is a big relief both to employees and companies. Maybe someone should check among our members who are already availing this program so that we could have an inventory of members who were not able to avail the QC Kalinga Program. Regarding the QC MOA Alliances, you may ask the Mayor if QCTC should be represented in the signing as representative from the Tourism Sector. If it is not required, at least we are advised not to be included in the representation. Sayang kasi, the tourism i believe is the key economic driver of the City if we intensify promoting QC not just only as business friendly city but both business and pleasure specially the health and wellness, culinary, cultural & heritage and the only urban green city tourism destination.

Attention Ms. Tefel,

Please resend the letter to Ms. Teta for her to follow up to the Mayor the status of the requested recovery program of the tourism establishments based in QC. I wish that your secretariat should actively coordinate with the office of the Mayor and you may ask assistance from Ms. Teta how, like she used to to do it when Ms. Teta was the Chairperson. I was just beside her whenever she needed my advise and counseling. This is the time that we let the Mayor feel our presence. Also please do not forget to facilitate the reportorial requirements i.e., SEC and BIR and other reportorial requirement. You may ask Ms. Teta and her former Secretary about this.

See the attached QC Kalinga Poster for your perusal.

Together we heal as one. Let us all stay safe.
