Well that didn't go too well, at least not in the perfectionists
standards that I had set up in my mind. It was to be a tantalizing and
exciting evening of launching Red Streaks (and subsequently the
Quarterly Color Series © ) piggy backed on the first year anniversary
of Nu-Metro's Poet's Club. The idea was to have a slot dedicated to
QCS where I would showcase what the idea behind the poetic e-books
that have been finding their way into various email boxes across the
world was about. Then I was to read a piece from it followed by two
other pieces from the Red Streaks by any of the poets on hand. There
was also to be a projection of the Red Streaks cover on the screen
behind the performer and a signing up of people who were interested in
receiving future/past e-books or just be part of the QCS world.
Phew...

Well non of that went down. Instead I was stuck in town, in the heavy
rain clutching my medication and praying for the taxi driver to fly
through the traffic jam and come rescue me from the severe chills I
was undergoing. I ended up at home smsing Maik Kwambo on who to talk
to about performing and also encouraging him as he was to perform on
QCS's behalf. God bless you! Seeing as you passed some rugby practice
for QCS. Al Kags apparently got there late as well, having been stuck
in traffic jam, smsing me back and forth to see who would make it to
Junction!!! Atleast he did, by which time I had managed to take my
medicine and black out for the night. I then heard that Imani also
managed to put in a good word for QCS (she's submitted a piece for
Blue Smudges as well) which went down well with the crowd.

But all this is hear say I would love to hear what Maik and Kags have
to say about the night. But thanks guys for saving the night.
