You're on the right track with the proportional loading table. For example, consider this code:
proportional,,3,,0.,0.,1.,1.,2.,0.
dtime,,0.2
loop,load,10
time
...
next,loadThis will increase the prop factor from 0.0 to 1.0 in the first five steps of the loop and then back down from 1.0 to 0.0 in the next five steps. Any displacements or force boundary conditions will be scaled by prop, so this corresponds to loading followed by unloading.
