ChromeOS Flex
To Install us the Chromebook recovery browser extension and you can use it to create a ChromeOS flex install media on a usb disk.
Dan walked us through installing ChromeOS Flex on a beastly Panisonic Toughbook
The ChromeOS flex installer appears to come from a company called cloudready which google purchased
The installer is super simple and fast you can run from the flash disk or install on local media.
The installer will delete EVERYTHING on your computer so make sure you've pulled all the drives you don't want formatted before installing this.
It's designed for older machines.  Probably nothing older than 2010?
Dan's CF52 toughbook has i3-M 330 CPU and 4GB RAM. Dan was having problems getting windows to work on it, but the machine works reasonably well.
Dan has used it to watch youtube and browse the internet.  The audio drivers work well!
Android apps are not an option, it's not part of flex os.
The UI is pretty crisp and given the Age of the laptop ChromeOS flex seems to work rather nicely.

Android Tablet as a Raspberry Pi Display
Next Dan showed us how to use an Android Tablet as a Display for his Raspberry Pi.
Dan bought a video capture device with an HDMI port and an USB A port.
Dan loads a USB camera standard on the tablet the app connects to the video capture and outputs it to the screen.
Dan suggests this as a method from some pi hacking on the road.
This device is intended for recording your game session on a PlayStation for example

Thanks for Presenting Dan!
