A few months ago we elected to stop paying for the Meetup Group.

The reason for this is that a meetup membership is $10 a month and we were not getting many (if any) new members from it.  It was mostly collecting spam users and users in the local area who login to meetup and join every group available even if they have no intention of going.

So I cancelled the QCLUG group payment on meetup.com which lead to meetup spamming that the group was shutting down trying to find someone else to  spend $10 a month.  If you really loved getting emails from Meetup.com I'm sorry, but I/We don't think they're worth $10 monthly.  I'll be interested to see if some "meetup squatter" starts paying for the group, we'll see.

Anyway, if you're interested in knowing when meetings are the best place to check is the www.qclug.com page.  We keep the meeting schedule and topics up to date there.

Also you can email me (ajma...@gmail.com) or this list and request an invite to our slack where we are easily reached.

Long Live QCLUG,
