J2EE Tech Lead

Relevant job functions & requirements include: ? Develop detailed work
breakdown structure for analysis design, development & deployment
activities. Maintain issue list and report project status ? Designing,
coding, testing, defect management, and production support (in
collaboration with Operations team) ? Expertise and experience in OO
design and programming. Demonstrated experience with delivering web-
based applications and dealing with the challenges of compatibility,
scalability, and performance ? Java expertise and experience in Web
application development with J2EE technologies (JSP, Servlets, JDBC/
DAO, JSTL, Taglibs, XML required; JAXB/JAXP, Hibernate, Spring,
JavaScript desirable) ? Knowledge of XML/SOAP and Web services ?
Expertise in designing & developing Content Management solutions -
Commercial (Documentum, Vignette, Interwoven) or homegrown. ?
Expertise in at least one application server: WebLogic & Tomcat
preferred ? Knowledge of software application structure (DDL, XML,
distributed computing, design patterns, model view controller
architecture, exception handling, databases, JDBC, etc) ? End-to-end
understanding of development processes, organization, and techniques
in order to drive the creation of optimal solutions ? Working
knowledge of defect tracking and configurations management systems
able to perform and lead root-cause analysis ? Familiarity with Oracle
and/or SQL Server ' Database programming using PL/SQL or T-SQL. ?
Familiarity with search engines and SEO is desirable ? Familiarity
with Rich Client internet applications desirable Experience: ? BS or
equivalent experience in Computer Science or other technical field. ?
7 to 10 years experience in software engineering ' including analysis,
design & development of complex applications using J2EE technologies &
application servers. ? Experience with designing & developing web-
based applications for moderate to high traffic sites. ? Experience
with at least one source control system & J2EE build/packaging tools;
experience with CVS, Subversion, Shell, ANT, Maven preferred. ? Hands-
on experience with scripting languages & build management tools '
including Shell, ANT, Maven etc. ? Prior responsibilities that
required communication and coordination across different groups: e.g.,
Engineering, QA, Operations and Project Management. ? Demonstrated
organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
