Role: Hadoop Developer
Location: Mountain view, CA
Duration: 12+ Months

Responsibilities:
• Work with different application engineering teams to understand their requirements around data integration,
• Processing and consumption and implement solutions to those into a central Big Data Platform
• Creating Requirement Analysis and Design Documents
• System Design, Development and Implementation.
• Defining job flows using Hadoop Scheduler, e.g. Oozie, Apache Falcon, Zookeeper etc.
• Develop MapReduce programs or Hadoop streaming.
• Develop Pig scripts/Hive QL for analyzing all semi-structured/unstructured/structured data flows.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, unit testing and integration testing.
• Manage Hadoop jobs using scheduler
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
• Atleast 1 full lifecycle implementation of Hadoop projects
• 2+ years of development experience with Hadoop eco-system (HDFS, MapReduce / YARN, Oozie, Falcon, Sqoop, Pig, Hive) and/or NoSQL technologies such as Cassandra, MongoDB with experience on real-time & stream processing systems. POC experience or Training won’t be considered.
• Should have knowledge in different Hadoop Distributions like CDH 4 / 5, Hortonworks, MapR, IBM Big Insights.
• Strong foundational knowledge and experience with a range of Big data components such as Hadoop/Yarn, HDFS,MapReduce,Oozie, Falcon, Pig, Hive, Zookeeper, Sqoop and Flume
• Knowledge in ETL tools like AB Initio / Informatica / TalenD will be additional advantages.
• Excellent knowledge of Core Java or UNIX shell script or PL/SQL stored procedures is required
