Bulk Review

Hello,

I seem to be having an issue with bulk reviewing. I have been able to do it before but it has now stopped working.?!?

I go to review QC and select all the QC on the test machine and set it to 'approved' and tick the box, I then press 'Update Review Status'. A pop-up appears but it doesn't give me a list of anything, I then press 'Confirm' and it states at the top 'Successfully reviewed 0 testlist instances'.

Does anyone have any advice?

Hi Becky,

I had the same problem with ad hoc tests (uploaded via the api) some days ago. The problem vanished after some time without me doing anything special.
Did you try to restart the system or services? Maybe that helps.

Yer, I've tried restarting but no joy, perhaps i will see how it goes and hopefully it will sort itself the same as yours! I did have an issue recently, which was discussed in the emails so was unsure if it was related to that. I saw users were having an error when searching within their unit test collections in admin. Randy messaged saying to change as below, which i have done, but this didn't sort the bulk review issue.

To fix this error, I would suggest editing qatrack/qa/admin.py at line 1108 so it looks like:
def assigned_to_name(obj):
    return obj.assigned_to.name if obj.assigned_to else "None"

Definitely sounds like something unusual is going on.  Is this QATrack+ v3.1.0?  Unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce the same behaviour you're seeing so I'm not sure what to suggest to you at the moment.

Hello,

Just in case anyone else comes across the same issue, I experienced it (blank pop-up and everything) on v3.1.1.3.

I noticed that it would happen with my normal user account but not with my Admin/SuperUser account, so I assumed it was a missing right.

After going through all of the rights I was surprised to narrow it down to the following one:
  • qa | unit test collection | Can view TLI and UTC not visible to user’s groups Allows a user to view all Test Lists regardless of their groups

This is quite unexpected behaviour and I suppose it might be a bug.
