I am trying to install python -idap, the page was removed when using the link provided by the configuration https://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/#python-ldap
Do we have another method to use to install it. Should we configure it or we can move on and what's the consequences if this step skipped?

Hi,

python-ldap can be installed/compiled via pip: https://www.python-ldap.org/en/python-ldap-3.4.3/installing.html

As far as I know python-ldap is only used for the Active Directory Backend. So if you do not plan to log into QATrack+ with your AD username you can skip the installation of python-ldap.

Thomas

Hi Thomas,
I just found another error while I am doing the above suggested method. The error as follows:
C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\1\pip-install-sfr8fqg7\python-ldap_ac2f1519de774352aca2df1b04cd047b\Modules\common.h(15): fatal error C1083: Cannot open include fil

      [end of output]

note: This error originates from a subprocess, and is likely not a problem with pip.

Hi,

it seems you are missing an installed OpenLDAP according to this thread:
You might also need the rest of the dependencies to build a useful python-ldap version:

Luckily somewhere in the thread someone mentioned that the Mr. Gohlke found a new home for his prebuild files. You might want to try those before you continue to build python ldap yourself:

Thomas
