SAP BW with Portfolio and Project Management (PPM)
NYC , NY (locals preferred)

Job description:
Need Senior BW resource in order to handle the BI solution for the current PPM project for the SAP program.
Among the responsibilities are:
• Responsible for defining information requirements and convert them into functional specifications, delivering proper conceptual designs, development, implement and support SAP's Business Warehouse solutions, which include the complex extraction, transformation and loading operational setups, create and maintain DSO's and Infocube, establish and monitor process chains. All solution in SAP BI must fit into the global reporting architecture
• Responsible for working with any other BI members based on North American to maintain and apply coherent, optimized, integrated, and standardized processes and solutions
• Responsible for prepare comprehensive documentation required according to methodology for all Global BI projects
• Responsible to support the entire implementation effort during all project stages, ensuring that in areas of assigned responsibility milestones and related sign-offs are achieved on a timely basis and in accord with current project plan
• Responsible for promoting client IT the Global DW Architecture within the organization
Challenges faced:
Meeting the current demand of our agencies, SAP Program and supporting locations globally across difference time zones.
Measurable Impact on the Organization:
This position is required to ensure the proper SLA for the Global BW systems and meeting the current demands of our agencies and SAP Program.
This is a new contractor position in order to get through this current demand. Without this position, we would have to reduce the work we can delivered to the organization.
Education and Experience Required:
This position requires:
- 5+ years of systems implementation in a complex environment and at least 3 implementations of SAP BW
- Experience developing Global BI solution from multiple SAP R/3 & NON-SAP system with varying designs into a common BI platform
- Experience in performance tuning BW production systems with at least 2 projects with this focus
- Solid SAP development experience utilizing ABAP and ABAP Objects.
- Must have experience implementing BW for a SAP PPM solution
- A broad understanding of SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) preferred.
- Ability to work independently and lead small development projects related to BW
- Prior experience of adapting SAP R/3 or SAP BI to a Service sector environment would be definitely advantageous.
- Experience with Finance, Business Intelligence, Data Integration and MDM applications a plus
- Solid communication skills with a key ability to translate technical subjects into non-technical terms in order to hold discusion with the business
- Experience working with SAP Business Objects reporting tools a plus
- BS in Systems Analysis or equivalent.
